18th Century Italian Baroque Walnut Trestle Dining Table

Description

Magnificent 18th century Italian Baroque refectory table or dining table. Crafted from thick walnut planks with mortise and tenon joinery. The trestle style base is supported by carved lyre shaped legs on each end decorated with scroll work having round shaped feet. Beautifully finished to showcase the rich grains and the hand hewn cuts in the wood. The top of the table is constructed from thick wood planks having bread board ends with an ogee edge around the entire top. The table is stabile and strong and would also make a great library table.
